About Us

After 10 years of working in the field of web development working for large and small web design houses across the UK i decided to start by own business Yellowphin.

A lot of people ask me why did i call my company Yellowphin? granted the name is a little unusual, but the reason behind it was the turning point in my life to which led me to start my own web design business.

The name came to me when i was holidaying one year in Australia, Cairns and home of the Great Barrier Reef and where my brother lives. We were snorkelling in the fish rich waters of the Great Barrier Reef when a huge fish seemed to stop right in from of me. I was memorized by this huge incandescent blue and Yellow finned fish. It seemed to be looking straight at me for what was only seconds but felt like forever.

Needless to say as we reminisced over our day on the reef over a BBQ that evening i came to my conclusion that on returning to the UK i would start my own business and its name should be Yellowphin.

And so Yellowphin Web Design and Development was born.
