So what is a CMS?

A CMS is a system in which you the customer can update content on your website yourself. Whether it be images or articles, paragraphs or simply changing the styling of a header. this can all be done simply through a couple of clicks.

Most of the websites that we build are data driven which means at some point they are connected to a database where the data is kept and served on the click of each individual page, these pages are accessible to you the client via the CMS system where you can update and manage your website in real-time.

The major advantages to content management systems(CMS) is that you the client can update certain areas of your site without the need to even contact us here at yellowphin, giving you complete control with the content of your site without the need of a web designer. This is extremely handy as no additional costs for changing site content are incurred and the changes needed are changed instantly on the site. We can adapt to build your site with a bespoke CMS system or even utilise one of the many 3rd party open source CMS system out there, the option is entirely up to you.
